{"id":4083,"date":"2018-05-25T15:50:37","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T15:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fcpr.org\/?p=4083"},"modified":"2018-05-25T15:50:51","modified_gmt":"2018-05-25T15:50:51","slug":"se-establece-fondo-de-ayuda-inmediata-para-empleados-publicos-de-salud-y-el-municipio-de-san-juan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcpr.org\/en\/se-establece-fondo-de-ayuda-inmediata-para-empleados-publicos-de-salud-y-el-municipio-de-san-juan\/","title":{"rendered":"Immediate relief fund established for public health employees and the Municipality of San Juan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcpr.org\/en\/\">Puerto Rico Community Foundation<\/a> (FCPR) announced a call for financial assistance for public health workers and employees of the Municipality of San Juan who suffered property damage or the loss of furniture or household goods in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Mar\u00eda. \u00a0This financial assistance is made possible by a $1 million donation to FCPR from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnyhafoundation.org\/1\/Default.aspx\"><em>Greater New York Hospital Association Foundation<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Financial assistance will be provided to workers with an individual annual income of less than $30,000 who suffered substantial damage to their primary residence or the loss of essential furniture or household goods as a result of the two hurricanes that struck last September. The aid will be provided in the form of store cards and gift certificates. <em>National Lumber, Bargain City<\/em>, <em>Berr\u00edos Furniture Stores<\/em> y <em>Ashley Furniture Home<\/em>. Cards and certificates will allow them to cover expenses not covered by other sources or funds related to housing rehabilitation (building materials) and acquisition of furniture or household items.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the contribution made by the <em>Greater New York Hospital Association Foundation<\/em> We will be able to help over 1,000 public health servers and employees of the Municipality of San Juan. We are filled with great joy to be able to collaborate in this great philanthropic endeavor that, in addition to helping these active employees, promotes the strengthening of the economic activity of local businesses thanks to the alliances made with Berr\u00edos Furniture (<em>Ashley Furniture Home<\/em>) and <em>National Lumber (Bargain City)<\/em>\u201d&quot;, said Mary Ann Gabino, senior vice president of FCPR.<\/p>\n<p>To request financial assistance, the person initiates an online application process at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcpr.org\/en\/\">www.fcpr.org<\/a>.
