The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF) has announced the opening of the call for applications for the Moreno Fernandez Fund, The program is aimed at talented students of the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico (CMPR) who are studying instrumental performance.
This annual scholarship provides supplemental financial assistance - which can range from $1,000 and $1,500, subject to the availability of funds - to support intensive summer study trips to institutions outside the country.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be enrolled in a regular instrumental performance program (excludes singing).

Have completed at least two years of studies.

Demonstrate good academic achievement.

Evidence of economic limitations.

Have been admitted to an intensive summer program outside of Puerto Rico.

Submit an essay of no more than one page on the impact of the academic experience on their musical development and their future contribution to Puerto Rico.

Submit the complete application within the established term.
