With a grant given by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, Crearte, Inc. will be
able to continue its multidisciplinary intervention with communities unreached by
governmental agencies, such as Guayabo and Jacana. The situation in Yabucoa has
been critical, as narrated by the Director of the organization, Brenda Santos, a family of
12 passed the hurricane in a small bathroom during a prolonged period of 10 hours.
The organization that has been giving food and water; and has adopted a shelter with
33 individuals of which 18 of them are children and teens, will be able to provide
recreational therapy to this young population.
