The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF) has announced the opening of the call for applications for the Holberton Puerto Rico Scholarship Fund, a scholarship fund that seeks to expand access to programming and software development education for students in Puerto Rico.

Established in October 2020, the fund supports students admitted to Holberton Puerto Rico, a school specializing in software development that offers an innovative educational model inspired by Silicon Valley software engineering practices.

Through this fund, annual scholarships will be awarded for up to $5,000 per student to help cover tuition costs within the Holberton Puerto Rico academic program. The disbursement is made directly to the educational institution and may be supplemented with other financial aid available to the student.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a permanent resident of Puerto Rico
  • Have been admitted to Holberton Puerto Rico's program of studies
  • Evidence of unpaid tuition costs
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be available for an interview with the evaluation committee.

Deadline to apply: Friday, April 10, 2026
