The José “Kiko” Custodio Scholarship Fund administered by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF)- represents a direct investment in the development of a new generation of Puerto Rican professionals committed to their country.
The purpose of this Fund is to promote excellence in engineering education, fostering a high-level professional class in Puerto Rico. It seeks to provide supplemental financial aid to students with financial need, outstanding academic performance, and a vocation for community service, while motivating young people to recognize their competitive potential and their ability to actively contribute to the socioeconomic development of the country.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a resident student in Puerto Rico
- Be pursuing studies leading to an engineering degree at a university, in or outside Puerto Rico, recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Academic Performance (minimum required index):
- 3.20 or higher (on a scale of 4.00) for new applicants
- 3.00 or more for renewal candidates
- Have a full academic load:
- 12 credits (minimum)
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Demonstrate leadership and community engagement through extracurricular activities and volunteerism.
