The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (FCPR) is a philanthropic organization 1101.1 of the Puerto Rico Internal Revenue Code and a 501(c)(3) organization under the Federal Internal Revenue Code.
Since 1984, donors have contributed to the development of Puerto Rican communities through the FCPR. Individuals, families, corporations or foundations have found in the FCPR the ideal philanthropic ally, an entity that has helped them turn into reality the desire to support the causes they are passionate about through the establishment, custody and administration of funds.
The Foundation, in addition, facilitates transformation processes in communities, promoting access to renewable energy, potable water, housing, community economic development and education. Through access, tenure, and management of these resources, it promotes equity, social justice and community prosperity.
In summary, FCPR performs several roles: grant-maker/grant-seeker; and serves as program manager, philanthropic leader, community coordinator, fund manager and custodian of the community endowment fund.
