Community Foundation of Puerto Rico (FCPR) is a philanthropic institution with 38 years of service. Our overall objective is to reduce the inequality gap in Puerto Rico's communities by increasing community capital (physical, environmental, social, financial, cultural and human). We focus our projects on access to basic resources (i.e. water, energy, housing and education), seeking community ownership and management of their resources. We have also taken a keen interest in designing and implementing programs that provide training and technical assistance to communities. In addition, over the years, we have become philanthropic advisors to individuals, families, corporations and other foundations to increase the return on their financial contributions in the form of donations and grants to the community.
The FCPR values equality among people, promotes education for equity and fosters equal access to opportunities from an anti-racist and decolonial perspective. We recognize our role as contributors and allies to the racial equity and anti-racist movement in the Puerto Rican community ecosystem; and we affirm our commitment to promote practices of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
