The Assur Fund administered by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF)- aims to expand educational opportunities on the island through supplementary scholarships. These scholarships are aimed at employees and descendants of Peerless Oil & Chemicals, Inc. and Petro Taíno Transport Corp. and its subsidiaries, as well as students pursuing university programs in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
This Fund has two main focuses:
- Disciplines in STEM
- Employees or descendants of employees of Peerless Oil & Chemicals, Inc., Petro Taíno Transport Corp. and any of its subsidiaries in Puerto Rico.
- Be a student with a full academic load of Kindergarten through twelfth grade (12mo).
- Be a student with full or partial academic load in higher education institutions (technical, vocational programs or professional certifications) or universities duly accredited (undergraduate or graduate studies).
