The Puerto Rico Builders Association (ACPR), through the Community Foundation (FCPR), announced the opening of the call for the Scholarship Fund Future Builders of Puerto Rico, an initiative aimed at supporting the academic and professional development of students linked to the construction industry on the Island.

This fund, established by the ACPR, seeks to promote access to educational opportunities for the families and employees of the organization's partner companies, thereby fostering the development of a new generation of professionals committed to the socioeconomic progress of Puerto Rico.

The scholarship fund offers Supplementary financial aid of up to $$2,500 annually for undergraduate students enrolled in university, technical, or vocational programs at accredited institutions in Puerto Rico. Scholarships may be renewable for a period of up to 4 to 5 years, subject to the fulfillment of established requirements.

In addition to financial support, fellows will be able to benefit from opportunities for Summer boarding school in partner companies of the ACPR, providing them with practical experience in the field of construction and development.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a permanent resident of Puerto Rico
  • Be enrolled in academic programs leading to a degree (university, technical, or vocational)
  • Maintain a minimum academic average of 2.50 (vocational programs) or 3.00 (bachelor's degree)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Meet the application and documentation requirements

Priority will be given to Children of employees and employees of ACPR partner companies.
