The Viatris LLC Scholarship Fund administered by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF)- seeks to strengthen the development of talented students with scientific vocation, social commitment and leadership.
This Fund aims to stimulate the training of professionals in Natural Sciences, Pharmacy and Engineering, offering supplementary financial aid to students with financial need, high academic performance and social commitment. In addition, it seeks to enrich the educational experience through summer internships at Viatris Global Manufacturing and to foster professional mentoring relationships between scholarship recipients and specialized personnel, thus promoting their personal and academic development and their contribution to the social welfare of Puerto Rico.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Puerto Rico for the last 10 years.
- Be enrolled or admitted to an accredited university in:
- Natural Sciences (Industrial Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Cellular and Molecular Biology)
- Pharmacy (PharmD, Master in Industrial Pharmacy)
- Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer)
- Academic Performance (minimum required index):
- 3.25 or higher (on a scale of 4.00) for new applicants
- 3.00 or more for renewal candidates
- Have a full academic load:
- 15 credits (undergraduate level)
- 9 credits (graduate level)
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Demonstrate leadership and community engagement through extracurricular activities and volunteerism.
- Be available to participate in the interview process that culminates the evaluation of your candidacy.
