Equitable Access: Education

During the past three decades, the Puerto Rico Community Foundation has recognized education as an essential tool for every individual to have access to the best life opportunities. Some of the educational projects we have led include: the Middle School Renewal Initiative, Live the Arts in Education, and the Educational Transformation Project 2014.

This approach was reinforced after the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017. We identified education as another area of focus for the country's sustainable renewal. Therefore, we started 2018 with educational support for students who suffered losses related to both atmospheric phenomena, by delivering 1,000 backpacks with educational materials.
