The Puerto Rico Community Foundation announces the opening of the call for applications for the Father William J. Hendricks, SJ Scholarship Fund, an initiative created to honor the legacy of service, dedication, and commitment to education of Father William J. Hendricks, who for more than three decades accompanied and guided generations of students from Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola in the process of defining their academic and professional future.

Established by the San Ignacio de Loyola School Alumni Association, this endowment fund aims to provide partial financial aid to graduating and former students of San Ignacio School who require additional support to pursue university studies at accredited institutions.

Since its inception, the Fund has awarded more than 100 scholarships to 75 students, helping them begin and continue their college education. The financial aid, which ranges from $1,450 to $1,500 per year, is intended to cover expenses related to the first year of college, such as textbooks, transportation, supplies, and other costs associated with the transition to college.

The call is open for:

  • CSI alumni currently pursuing undergraduate studies who require additional support.
