Non-profit organizations have proven to be the first community rescuers, responding quickly and efficiently to the needs of their communities. Therefore, we share below recommendations for creating a hurricane response plan, based on the experience of the Puerto Rico Community Foundation with the process of preparing for and managing the emergency caused by Irma and Maria in 2017.
