The project I'm 100% Fine from Pfizer, administered by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, today celebrated the achievements of the educational and philanthropic initiative for the current school year with an exhibition of artworks promoting environmental conservation.

Under the title, Creating beauty with purpose, The students from six participating schools created works of art using bottle caps and other recyclable materials, with themes related to environmental conservation. As part of the activity, held at the Museo Casa Portela in Vega Baja, a jury evaluated and awarded three of the works, and granted eight honorable mentions. There were also artistic performances by the students themselves.

The participating schools were: Jesus T. Piñero, in Manatí; Juan Quirindongo and Lino Padrón, in Vega Baja; Juan R. Jimenez, in San Juan; and Apolo San Antonio and José Pagán De Jesús, in Vega Alta.

Since 2011, I'm 100% Fine from Pfizer promotes the holistic well-being of the student body in middle and high schools on the island. Through this strategy, the aim is to achieve greater academic achievement. This year, the initiative impacted over 800 students from participating schools.

The event was attended by the project manager, José E. Colón; Blanca Cebollero, Communications Manager at Pfizer; David Haddock, VP of Administration and Programs at FCPR; Javier Rivera, water and energy project leader at FCPR; and the mayor of Vega Baja, Marcos Cruz Molina.
