Proyecto Matria is doing heavy lifting to provide essential needs

Proyecto Matria is doing heavy lifting to provide essential needs to families in different municipalities.

Proyecto Matria has always demonstrated that they are an organization that can get things done
heavy lifting, providing a wide array of services to a population of women who aspire to
be free and independent. It’s no surprise that in the aftermath of the hurricanes Irma
and María, they activated themselves to take care of approximately 70 families, mostly
Women leading.
With the grant provided by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, Matria will provide
food, baby formula, mattresses, towels, lamps and batteries, portable mini-stoves and
water containers to these families living across 14 municipalities, from Comerío to Mayaguez
and Caguas to Isabela.
