my entrepreneurial journey
The Small Business Incubators and Accelerators Program is an initiative supported by the Puerto Rico Department of Housing through CDBG-DR program funds.
The initiative is implemented by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (FCPR), along with three non-profit organizations with business incubators and accelerators.
The program is aimed at people who wish to formalize your business idea or accelerate your company. Participants will attend virtual or face-to-face workshops -free of charge- that will help them formalize their venture, including the drafting of the business plan. They will also receive direct mentoring.
Fifth program cycle
The fifth incubation and acceleration cycle begins in October 2025. If you have a business idea, register now to receive support from one of our three microenterprise incubators, which will accompany you on your entrepreneurial journey step by step.
At Fundación Comunitaria, we believe in strengthening human capital within the business community so that entrepreneurs continue to grow and generate impact. We are deeply grateful to all the entrepreneurs who have been part of this transformative program.
Meet our participants
A pizza maker in Culebra, which has seen how its business has not stopped growing; a medical propagandist who turned his hobby into his full-time job; and a cook who opened a french fry cart in front of the run-down school where he lives since he lost his home to Fiona. These are some of the stories of the entrepreneurs participating in our program.

Program background
Since its inception in 2021, the program has offered training workshops and accompaniment to Puerto Rico residents with business ideas, helping them to formalize their ventures. Throughout four incubation cycles, 147 people have graduated, including four participants with functional diversity.
The program has been present in 49 municipalities on the island, with entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 63. In addition, 72% of the participants come from low or moderate-income households, which highlights its impact on vulnerable communities.
