To support future legal professionals, the FCPR has opened applications for the Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship Fund, which will award up to $1,500 per student.

The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (FCPR) announced the opening of the Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship Fund, an initiative that seeks to support law students in Puerto Rico.

Through this Fund, two scholarships are established: the Judge Juan R. Torruella Scholarship and the Judge Beca Consuelo C. Cerezo, created in recognition of the lives, careers, and contributions of both judges, whose lessons and commitment to justice have profoundly impacted the legal field and Puerto Rican society.

The Fund will grant annually four (4) scholarships, two under each of the established scholarships. Each selected student may receive a grant of up to 1,450 per academic year, with the possibility of renewal for a maximum of three (3) years for day students y four (4) years for evening students, subject to compliance with the established requirements and availability of funds.

The interested people can access the Federal Bench & Bar Fund Guide and request before June 25, 2026.
