PRCF became a community first responder to Loíza after Irma

After hurricane Irma hit Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF),
activated the Puerto Rico Community Recovery Fund to provide Loíza with basic
supplies. Two thousand gallons of water were provided to the Mayor of Loíza, to be
distributed among different populations. Also, a grant was made to provide the Boys &
Girls Club with snacks for 150 children and teens, mostly participants of their program
in this municipality.
Conscious of the situation many elderlies were going through after the hurricane, PRCF
provided the XXX Elderly in Loíza with a power generator.
PRCF is very conscious of two vulnerable populations in the island, elderly and families
with infants and children, our first respond was to target this population in Loíza.
