Alliance to strengthen the health of communities affected by Hurricane María

The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF) and the Puerto Rico
Primary Health Association (ASPR) have established an alliance that will allow
access to medicines, medical services, and medical equipment to communities
and families affected by Hurricane Maria. Both organizations recognize the high
volume of donors in Puerto Rico and the US interested in providing medical
related products and they will coordinate to receive such products and their
distribution to community health centers throughout the island.
As part of the alliance ASPR has relocated temporary, in PRCF’s office in
Santurce, which facilitates this type of coordination.
ASPR promotes technical assistance, training and support to the Prevention and
Primary Health Network, known as Centros 330 islandwide, including Vieques
and Culebra. Also, ASPR offers clinics, homeless programs in serveral of its
centers.
